Whenever I think of cultures around the world who mastered the art of good-tasting food, Italian and Mexican usually near the top of my list. Delicious pizzas and pastas came from the boot-shaped country in the Mediterranean. Tacos, burritos, and more originated from our neighbors down South.
But what if we combined Italian and Mexican cuisines into one?
Introducing taco pizza rolls. Something your family and friends will be dying to eat!
After reading this recipe, I’m confident that taco pizza rolls will become part of your weekly dinner menu.
This perfect combination food is also quite easy to make. You’ll need:
- ½ pound of ground beef
- 1 tube of refrigerator pizza dough
- 2 tbsp. of taco seasoning mix
- 3 tbsp. of water
- 1 cup of shredded Mexican cheese
- Recommended toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, salsa, hot sauce, guacamole, sour cream
Preheat your oven to 400°F and oil a frying pan on medium-high heat.
Cook your beef until all pinkness is gone then add the taco seasoning and water. Mix thoroughly.
Unroll your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Spread out a layer of ground beef then cover with the Mexican cheese.
Now roll the dough from the long end until it’s all wrapped up into a spiral. With a sharp knife, cut the taco pizza roll into 1-inch thick slices.
Arrange your rolls onto a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
When it’s golden brown, remove them from the oven and cover with your favorite toppings.
