Thank Your Lucky Sweet Tooth: Chocolate Cake For Breakfast Can Be Good For You

Several studies have shown that eating cake for breakfast is nothing to feel guilty about.

It has several health benefits and, get this, may even help you lose weight! Researchers from Tel Aviv University found that eating cake with your breakfast, along with a healthy helping of carbs and protein, can help curb those sugary cravings throughout the day.

…breakfast was also the ideal time for a slice of cake because that is when your metabolism is at its best, allowing you to burn off those calories the rest of the day. 

Let’s look at some serious stats:

Over a 32-week study, 193 obese people were divided into two groups. One group was given low carb breakfast with 300 calories and low carbs, and the other was given a more balanced 600 calorie breakfast — including chocolate cake.  Both groups ate the same amount of calories throughout the entire day.

At halfway through the study, both groups had lost an average of 33 pounds per person.

But by the end of the study, the group that ate 300 calories in the morning gained back an average of 22 pounds per person while the group that ate the 600-calorie breakfast with chocolate cake every day lost another 15 pounds per person.
