Having the ability to generate light without the need of electricity should be part of everyone’s emergency essentials. Flashlights or electric lamps obviously work best, but batteries eventually die, leaving you in the dark when you need light the most. This hack works wonders, and has the added benefit of being edible once the light goes out.
