A man in China’s Hunan Province was surprised when, over 200 miles into his road trip, he heard barking coming from the front of his car.
He stopped to investigate, and couldn’t believe his eyes:
Yes, that’s a puppy in his bumper. He was letting everyone know he was very much alive – just a little stuck.
The driver, Mr. Zhang, knew he hit a dog a ways back, but explained:
“I was driving pretty quickly at the time so when I hit the dog, I thought it had either died or run away, so I didn’t get out of the car to check.”
He continued driving to a veterinarian in his hometown, a total of 248 miles from where he’d hit the dog, where the dog was freed from the bumper:
After being given the all-clear from the veterinarian, Mr. Zhang took the puppy home:
Zhang adopted the pup because, “It escaped from great danger. This really moved me. This shows my fate with the dog.”
